I think the Government of Canada needs to do some research on the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical-grade face masks vs face masks made of fabric. As someone who has personally picked up off the street over 10,000 face masks since lockdown ended, I feel there is no reason why 9/10 people are wearing clinical-grade face masks (made of polypropylene). If 90% of us stopped wearing clinical-grade face masks and started wearing reusable washable fabric face masks we would be able to somewhat control the ecological footprints we are making during this damn pandemic. It's time we. as the throw-away society, grasp the take/make/waste industrial model, and for the last time, chuck it in the trash. We, need to really begin to make stuff to be made to be made again.
