My goal is to get those of you who have taken the time to read my words, and who wear surgical masks to stop f_cking wearing them. If your health or profession permits, I want you to begin to wear reusable masks, please! I picked up, two days ago, my 14,000th blue fuc_ing surgical mask from off the sidewalk/street/nature. In total, I have picked up 14,099 masks and 1529 gloves since May 2020. The truth is, I have picked up more than that because, for the first 5 weeks after the lockdown ended, I wasn't counting them. To add more to that number and try to make it sound even grander, during this past summer, there were at least 10 days whereby I picked up so many masks that when I surpassed picking up over 200, I stopped counting them, it was depressing me. I began to cry that day as I began to realize that I was doing sweet fuck all, nothing, dick. What an irony of the situation we are in, us egocentric little shits. We, humans, are foolishly killing ourselves - the planet - along with everything else on it, with the very thing we are using to protect ourselves with. Polypropylene is plastic. Those blue fucking 3M surgical face mask you see all over the fucking sidewalks/street/environment that I've been fucking picking up in vain like a fucking idiot are made out of it. To give you an idea of the plastic problem we are fucking confronted with and which is only going to get fucking much worse within the next several years/if not longer, globally we are using and disposing of an estimate of 129 billion face masks each and every fucking month. Can you see how enormous that number is? Worldwide, we are using 3 million masks each and every minute. Don't see it yet? Think about this to help the fucking visualization process "With a surgical mask weighing roughly 3.5g, that would equate to 451,500 tonnes of masks a month and, when placed next to one another, cover an area roughly three times the size of Singapore." I want you, the reader, to be afraid/nervous/touched/vulnerable. I want you to think about what you just read, and if you give a fuck, I want you to act appropriately/responsibly.
